3G Koa on AKU in Monterey Bay

Deploy Aku with Koa and 60 cartridge archival mission.  Collecting ~32 samples for Ed and Kevan (eDNA), then running remainder (~19) as engineering tests with 20 minute filtering time-outs.

Hawaii MiVEGAS cruise on R/V Falkor

Three ESP instruments delivered:  ESP-Koa, MV1, MV2

Three LRAUV were delivered:  Opah, Aku, Ahi

They were paired as
Opah-no ESP (just CTD instruments)---during both legs, Opah flew recon in loops around sampling instrument (or tried to).

Leg 1:  March 10-22, 2018

Ahi/MV1 was first to launch (Mar 11), and was pulled under ship and damaged.  Recovered ~2 hours later.

Launched Aku/Koa. sampled Mar 17-Mar21.  Collected 38 field samples - of those 1 failed - leaked, 1 smeared.

 Leg 2:  March 27-Apr 10

Aku/Koa used again. sampled Mar 28-Apr2.  Collected 56 field samples--of those 8 leaked (no sample), 1 smear.

2G on Yellowstone River

Deployed the following on July 25, 2018 for full carousel of archives:

ESP-Gordon -- Livingston (Carter's Bridge). 45.597148, -110.566021

ESP-Waldo -- Corwin Springs. 45.111612, -110.793943

 Recovered both instruments Sept 5.

First multicartridge L&G flight with SPR in MB.

We arrived and started building instrument Aug 20.  Sent in water Aug 23.  Recovered Aug 26 and redeployed 27th.  Ran Makai with Koa and 14 L&G cartridges and SPR module; remainder were archival.

3G Tacklebox in Teton Valley

Sep 10-12, 2018

Collected 5 samples (Flat Creek, confluence of Cache/Flat crk, South Park Flat Creek, Fish creek, pond on South Park Flat Creek).  tested in situ for E. coli.  3 positives (but Ct's were 36-38, so low copy numbers).
Collected hand sample along with 3G ESP sample.  Used the Freedom 4 PCR module, hand-feeding it lysate created from our L&G cartridges.
